Warehousing Collateral Management Services
Collateral Management Services
SGS collateral management services consist of receiving physical commodities into storage and retaining control over them until SGS is instructed to release them in accordance with predetermined terms of agreement. Physical control is achieved by obtaining and regulating technical and security aspects of the storage facilities in accordance with SGS internal standards. Legal control of the storage facilities is secured through the execution of a lease agreement with the owner of the facilities. Additional services such as sampling, analysis and insurance of the goods in storage are available upon request. Unless local legislation or the agreement require that documents of title be issued, receipt of the physical commodities into storage by SGS is evidenced by the issuance of non-negotiable warehouse receipts.
